Make your own simple and beautiful Christmas wreath

Photography Cath Muscat

This simple seasonal wreath will adorn my front door this Christmas. Here’s how to do it yourself

Shopping list

Willow wreath (available from craft and florist stores)

6 separate bunches of olive leaves, trimmed to same length and secured with an elastic band

Florists wire

1 bunch of gumnuts

1 bunch of anemones

1 bunch of South Australian paper daisies

Ribbon and scissors

Water vials, if desired

Step 1: Take a bunch of olive leaf and attach it to willow wreath with florists wire. Repeat several times, with bunches overlapping to hide the wire, until the entire wreath is covered.

Step 2: Using florists wire, secure small bunches of gumnuts and South Australian paper daisies to the wreath.

Step 3: Add fresh florals – for this wreath, I used anemones. Tie a bow at the wreath base Hang it on your front door to welcome all who visit.

Tip: Prolong the life of fresh flowers using water vials, available from florists.
